After several years of working for a prominent law firm, Shane decided to strike out on his own and start his own law firm – GP Law – in 2019. He has specialized in family law for nearly a decade. He has extensive litigation and trial experience and regularly appears before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta.
Outside the courtroom, Shane is well versed in drafting, reviewing and providing independent legal advice on cohabitation agreements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, divorce and property division agreements, parenting plans and separation agreements. He encourages collaborative dispute resolution and regularly attends lawyer-assisted mediation and settlement meetings. As a professional advocate, he thrives on working with clients to provide direction on family law matters, whether a litigation model or negotiated settlement model is being used.
Shane is deeply committed to his community. He dedicates time to pro bono work as a Volunteer Family Lawyer with Calgary Legal Guidance.
As a business owner recognizing the exceptional opportunity for growth, development and revitalization in the City he grew up in, Shane became actively involved as a Board Director with the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce. He was elected as the former Vice President and current President of the Chamber, which supports over 600 local and regional business and non-profit members by enhancing entrepreneurship through connection and advocacy at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.
Shane is a devoted husband and father. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, running, hiking, travelling, photography, and playing soccer, tennis and hockey. He wears the No. 7 shirt for Real Sasquatch SC in the CUSA League, and is an avid supporter of Chelsea FC and Forge FC, and a lifelong Flames fan.
Roksana Pawlowski

With a legal career spanning over a decade, Roksana is widely recognized for her proficiency and knowledge in Real Estate, Wills and Estate Planning, Business Law, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation.
Roksana began her legal career at one of the premier litigation associations in Southern Ontario in 2008. She specialized in Insurance Defence Litigation, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation.
These practice areas provided her with extensive courtroom experience, including complex trials and hearings. She regularly appeared before the Ontario Provincial Court and the Ontario Superior Court. These practice areas also provided her with extensive experience in arbitration and mediation.
Several years into her career, Roksana expanded her practice areas and put on her “Solicitor” hat. She began assisting clients with Real Estate, Estate Planning and Corporate/Commercial Law, and continues to do so today. Her skills as a litigator provide her with a distinct ability to ensure her solicitor clients are receiving the advice and service that will best protect their interests.
Roksana is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Law Society of Ontario. She represents clients in both provinces and is an active member in both communities. Roksana is fluent in Polish, oral and written, and has assisted her clients with the preparation of various legal documents required by the Polish government. In her spare time, she cherishes spending time with her family and friends, travelling, reading, writing and playing tennis.
